Aims

SKIDZ strives to provide a range of opportunities for young people in the High Wycombe area including;

- Training in practical skills
- Educational support
- Exciting and challenging opportunities
- A range of driving and riding experiences
- The chance to become a safer, more responsible road user

The organisation was formed with the object of

1. Creating the opportunity for young people from High Wycombe to participate in challenging activities that offer new experiences, enhance skills and build a sense of achievement and self-esteem.

2. Allowing access to a workshop environment in which young people can learn skills in motor mechanics and allied trades which could assist in gaining employment or progression into training.

3. Creating opportunities for young people to develop responsible attitudes towards safe and legal driving.

The main target group consists of all young people in the community, with an emphasis on the less advantaged and those at risk.

SKIDZ - The Wycombe Motor Project, aims to promote equal opportunity policies in all aspects of its work and training. It provides services and resources to all sectors of the community within the Wycombe District.

This policy applies in respect of age, colour, creed, disability, gender, diagnosis of HIV/AIDS, marital status, race, responsibility for dependants, sexuality and unrelated criminal convictions. Inappropriate speech or behaviour will be challenged.
