Welcome to Community Transport

The Community Transport scheme has operated out of SKIDZ since 2000. The two minibuses were originally part of the Micklefield and Castlefield transport projects until SKIDZ took over the organisation of their use.

Groups and associations in the area can hire the buses for their members, by registering with the scheme. Named drivers will undergo an introductory course (unless already in possession of a Bucks Drivers Certificate), before taking out the bus with passengers. The two busess are fully maintained and regularly checked to ensure road worthiness in line with regulations.

The Micklefield bus is a 16-seater (including the driver), and has a tail lift to enable wheelchair access. If wheelchairs are used this reduces the total passenger numbers.

The Castlefield bus is a 13-seater (including the driver), and this also has a tail lift for wheelchair access, which reduces the number of passengers if wheelchairs are on board.
